چکیده
The canalicular laceration of the lacrimal tract is a pathology young adults with male predominance in 59% cases. main etiologies found are aggressions, public road accidents, falls and dog bites. most common lacerations those lower canaliculus (56% cases). Diagnosis made by slit lamp examination. Tear trauma deferred emergency. repair should be done an experienced surgeon. We present clinical case 30 year-old man, no notable pathological history. He victim knife attack right eye point impact. Following aggression, 5mm long eyelid was observed inner corner eye, injury to inferior canaliculus. A Mini-Monoka® monocanalicular intubation stent inserted on seventh day anastomosis proximal distal ends laceration. skin then sutured polyglactin 8/0 suture. postoperative treatment consisted tobramycin dexamethasone drops four times per for duration 10 days. good progression observed: position punctumwas adequate, syringation normal. removed after 14 weeks. obtained anatomical, esthetic functional results this patient.

purpose: to compare the results of two methods of canalicular laceration repair. methods: this clinical trial was performed on 50 eyes of 50 patients with lacerated canaliculi who were randomly assigned to two groups. direct reanastomosis of the lacerated canaliculus was performed using 8-0 vicryl suture (25 eyes) and indirect repair was performed by reapproximation of the overlying orbicularis...

متن کاملNovel Pigtail Cannula for a Canalicular-Involving Eyelid Laceration.
An 89-year-old woman presented with a canalicular-involving laceration/avulsion of the right lower eyelid after a fall. The inferior canaliculus was severed deep within the wound, and the ends were difficult to identify. Novel pigtail cannulas, designed by the authors, were used for lacrimal system intubation and suture passage. Satisfactory cosmetic and functional results were achieved. These ...
